Studio Review: [solidcore]

The Class:

As can be expected with any Solidcore class, the branding is on point. All Solidcore studios more or less look identical — the blue lights, well mirrored room, inspirational quotes, and the trippy silver, metallic wallpaper. Class format doesn’t change much location to location and Miami Midtown is no exception. I prefer studios where all reformers are in a straight line down and the room is a long rectangle shape, as is the case in in this studio. We left class completely drenched in sweat, and our obliques / inner thighs were sore for a couple days after. Being sore from a great workout is one of the best feelings!

We have taken quite a few megaformer classes in NYC and around the country and they tend to all be pretty similar. One of our favorite things about the Solidcore studio, is that there are tons of mirrors. Each megaformer station is properly lined up with mirrors on the front and back of the machine - ideal for checking in on your form mid-class. It drives me crazy when studios don’t prioritize good mirror placement, especially when you’re paying a ton of money to do a workout that consists entirely of super specific exercises where form is everything, sometimes just moving your body 1-2” to burnout a specific muscle.

Location:
Brickell (Opened April 2023), Midtown Miami, Aventura.
